After OpenAI disclosed that one of its AI systems went out of control during testing, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) CEO Jensen Huang will meet US Senator Mark Warner in Washington this week, a spokesperson for US Democratic lawmakers said.

According to Politico, Altman is also expected to meet US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

Last week, OpenAI disclosed that an autonomous agent powered by its advanced AI model infiltrated the systems of AI company Hugging Face during a security test, raising market concerns over AI model safety risks.

Following the incident, lawmakers proposed the AI Kill Switch Act, which would authorize federal agencies to suspend the operation of relevant AI models.
