CEO Lisa Su: AMD Working With Clients to Optimize Memory Footprint, To Keep Exploring Co-op With Samsung in Memory and Foundry Biz
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD.US) CEO Lisa Su, visiting South Korea again after seven months, said AMD is working with clients to optimize memory footprint as supply tightness persists. At the same time, AMD is encouraging memory suppliers to expand production capacity as soon as possible.
In addition, she said AMD is very satisfied with the fourth-generation HBM4, describing its performance as outstanding. Samsung and SK hynix Inc. (SKHY.US) have provided strong support for HBM4, and she believed the partnership related to HBM will extend across multiple generations. The company will also continue exploring cooperation opportunities with Samsung Electronics in the memory and foundry business sectors.
Su added she has met with senior executives of SK hynix and plans to meet senior executives of Samsung Electronics.
