06 Oct 2026 09:44
Google's parent, Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL.US), is close to reaching an approximately USD1 billion agreement to purchase nuclear power from Constellation Energy Corporation (CEG.US), aiming to secure electricity supply for its data centers, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported. The deal is anticipated to be announced as early as this week.

Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN.US) also forged a similar agreement with Constellation last week, agreeing to purchase 690 megawatts of electricity from the company, including capacity expansion through upgrades to the Calvert Cliffs nuclear facility in Maryland.
