DJIA Futures Rise ~120 pts; Broadcom Slips 3.2% Premarket; Snowflake Jumps 23.6% Premarket; Europe Stocks Lack Clear Direction in Early Trading

US President Donald Trump said Iran is attempting to rebuild radar systems, missile systems and mine-laying equipment. He said the US military's strike on Iran a day earlier was very intense, and the US stands ready to launch further attacks on Iran at any time, while the US is controlling the Strait of Hormuz. He also said strikes on Iran would not last too long. Futures for the three major US stock indices advanced, with DJIA futures mounting 119 pts or 0.2%, and S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq futures gaining 0.08% and 0.02%, respectively.

Broadcom Inc. (AVGO.US) dived 3.2% pre-market after forecasting current-quarter revenue of USD34.8 billion, below market expectations of USD35.05 billion. Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (HPE.US) slid 3.3% pre-market. Its second-quarter revenue and adjusted EPS beat, while it projected third-quarter revenue of USD14.35 billion, topping market expectations by 10%. Management also raised the midpoint of its full-year adjusted EPS forecast to USD3.8, a hike of 11.8%. Cloud data warehouse provider Snowflake Inc. (SNOW.US) leaped 23.6% pre-market after its quarterly adjusted EPS beat and it raised FY2027 product revenue guidance to USD60.7 billion from the previous USD58.4 billion.

Major European bourses lacked clear direction in early trading on Thursday (3rd). The pan-European STOXX 600 last stood at 646.77, up 0.1%. The UK's FTSE 100 rose 0.1% to 10,766. France's CAC lost 0.2% to 8,264. Germany's DAX edged up less than 0.1% to 25,853. Italy's FTSE MIB added 0.2% to 51,894. Spain's IBEX 35 lifted 0.5% to 19,881.
