NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) will invest up to USD3 billion in power infrastructure developer Lancium, the company behind the "Stargate" data center campus, The Information reported.

NVIDIA will initially pump USD2 billion in Lancium to acquire about a 20% stake of the latter, report said. If Lancium reaches certain milestones, NVIDIA may make an additional investment of USD1 billion. The deal values Lancium and its asset portfolio at about USD10 billion in enterprise value.

US President Donald Trump had announced in January that Stargate would be established by SoftBank Group (9984.JP), OpenAI and Oracle Corporation (ORCL.US), aiming to build data centers across the US and planning to invest up to USD500 billion to support the construction of AI infrastructure.
