Moonshot AI reached a computing power agreement with BABA-W (09988.HK), allowing it to use about 20,000 Nvidia (NVDA.US) chips, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported.
The chips reportedly obtained by Moonshot AI through BABA-W came from Nvidia's earlier-generation Hopper product, the H200 chip, although BABA-W denied the claim.
A spokesperson for BABA-W said reports that the company supplied H200 chips to Moonshot AI were completely groundless, but did not deny providing related Nvidia chip computing power to Moonshot AI, and also declined to disclose the actual chip model used.
