Optimistic that the conflict between Israel and Iran may be tamed, the market was watchful of the Federal Reserve's meeting on interest rates this week.
US bourse picked up on Monday. The DJIA rallied as many as 509 points, eventually finishing up 317 points or 0.8%, at 42,515. The Nasdaq outperformed, ending up 294 points or 1.5%, at 19,701. The S&P 500 closed up 56 points or 0.9%, at 6,033.
Techs were well-shaped, with Meta (META.US) launching WhatsApp subscription and advertising services, shoring its stock price up 2.9%. Tesla (TSLA.US) and Apple (AAPL.US) both added about 1%, while Nvidia (NVDA.US) jumped up 1.9%.
US Steel (X.US) spiked 5.1%, as US President Donald Trump conditionally approved the merger and acquisition deal by Nippon Steel.
