Morningstar equity analyst Phelix Lee recaptured that Nvidia (NVDA.US) CEO Jensen Huang announced at CES 2025 that it will be launching its newest AI supercomputer Project DIGITS in May this year, with a price tag starting at US$3,000, which will be powered by the GB10 Grace Blackwell, a super chip co-developed with MediaTek.

While earlier report had said that MediaTek is expanding its partnership with Nvidia, the market is expected to be more optimistic about MediaTek's development in the 200 million-plus PC market.

However, given the price of the product and its positioning as a developer-oriented product, which may limit the scale of sales, Morningstar considered that it is premature to project the profit benefits of the new product for MediaTek. It also suggested that investors should keep an eye on whether MediaTek will launch another consumer-oriented product in the next 1-2 years.
