The US will announce new chip export restrictions to China next week. In response, Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC (MoFA), said during a routine press conference that China has consistently opposed the US' broadening of the national security concept and misuse of export control measures to maliciously block and suppress China. Such actions severely violate market economy rules and principles of fair competition, disrupt international economic and trade order, and destabilize global supply chains, ultimately harming the interests of all countries.
China will take firm measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, Mao emphasized.
